1. Dress Sharp

Clothes affect the way a man feels about himself. No one is so conscious of your physical appearance than you are. When you are not dressed good, it changes the way you represent yourself to others. You can use your physical appearance as an advantage. Significant improvements can be made by frequent shaving and regular bathing. You should follow the latest trend. Don't try to do anything new with the clothes as it can make you a topic of laughter. Simply go along with the latest trending clothes. It is not necessary that the clothes you like is also liked by the others. You should take help of your all time friends in deciding which dress suits you the most and which not. Dressing well will attract people and boost confidence in you.

2. Walk Faster

One of the easiest ways to judge how a person feels about himself is to examine his walk. Is it tired? slow? painful? Or is it energetic and purposeful? Confident people walk quicker. They have places to go, people to see, and important works to do. Even if you are not in a hurry, you can increase your self confidence by putting some pep in your step. Walking 25% faster will make you look and feel more important.

3. Good Posture

Similarly, the way a person carries himself tells a story. People with slumped shoulders, tired and lethargic movements display a lack of confidence. They are not interested in what they're doing and they don't consider themselves important. By practicing good posture regularly, you'll automatically feel much more confident. Stand up straight, keep head up and make eye contact. You'll create positive impression on others and feel more alert and empowered.

4. Personal Commercial

One of the best ways to build self confidence is listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities of listening to a great speaker are few and far between. Yo can fill up this need by creating a personal commercial. Write a 40-60 second speech that highlights you strength and goal . Then recite it in front of the mirror aloud ( or inside your head, if you prefer ) whenever you need to boost confidence.

5. Gratitude

When you focus too much on what you need, your mind creates reasons why you can't have it. This leads you to think of your weaknesses. The best way by which you can avoid this is by consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside a few minutes each day to mentally list all and everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past success, unique skills, relationships and positive momentum. You'll be shocked how much you have going for you and motivated to take the next step towards success.

6. Compliment Others

When we think negative about ourselves, we frequently project those feelings on to others in the form of insults. To break this cycle of negativity, get in a habit of praising others. Refuse engaging in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment peoples around you. This process will make you become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others and praising them, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

7. Sit in the Front Row

In offices, schools and public assemblies around the world people prefer to sit at the back of the room. Back benches are preferred by most because they're afraid of being noticed. This reflects lack of self confidence. By planing to sit in the front row, you can get over this unreasonable fear and boost confidence. You will also be clearly visible to the important people speaking from the front of the room.

8. Speak up

In group discussions many people don't speak because they're afraid of saying something stupid in front of others. This fear is not really justified because generally people are much more accepting than our imagination. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fear. By making an effort to stand and speak up in every group discussions, you will become a better public speaker, more confident in your thoughts and recognized as a leader by your peers.

9. Work Out

Along the same line as physical appearance, physical fitness has a great effect on self confidence. If you are out of shape, you'll feel insecure, dull, unattractive and more weakness. By working out, you improve your appearance, energize yourself and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out regularly not only makes you feel better, it develops positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.

10. Focus on Contribution

Too often we get caught up in our own wishing and desires. We focus too much on the needs of ourselves  and not enough on the needs of others. If you stop thinking about yourself, and concentrate on the contributions you are making to the rest of the world, you would not worry as  much about your own flaws. This will increase the self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you make your contribution to the world the more you'll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.
